Perfection is a mirror with a crack

Once upon a time, I was proud to be a perfectionist. I believe we should be our best and put forth our best efforts. I learned about the enneagram a couple of years ago and I took the test. I was not surprised with the results: 1 - perfectionist.

It’s actually exhausting. Nothing is every truly good enough and I run out of energy before my list is complete.
I am practicing letting what is be. I joined a yoga studio, which I recently cancelled my membership due an increase in class size. It is getting too people-y in there. I am an introvert to a level I didn’t realize before the pandemic. I actually like being by myself and I like being married to an introvert.
Back to my yoga practice, I mean, my practice of living in the moment and accomplishing one thing at a time. What if I think,”I haven’t gotten to that, yet“ instead of “I can’t get all of my stuff done”?
Action can be detrimental to our progress sometimes. Where is the fun? We need fun and creativity. This blog is the answer to that question. This blog is my creative outlet especially during the colder days when I don’t care to go outside for long.
I am building habits and making changes based on my priorities. I started out at version 1. I have found edits needed along the way. This current version of me is version 283. Next version coming soon.
I am perfectly imperfect like a beautiful mirror with a tiny crack - still useful and effective.
