It's been a hard few months.

You stepped out from under her control.

You fought back.

You spoke up.

I helped you.

It's been hell.

Fighting a narcissist is running from a hot summer day to swimming in lava.

They will cast their web over you time and time again.

They don't like to let go of the control.

They will not give up.

You asked, "what am I supposed to learn here?"

I'll list a few things.

First, you have to learn to walk away.

Learn not to engage.

Recognize the tricks for what they are.

See people's behavior for what it is.

If it walks like a duck...

When you get out of a relationship with a narcissist, there is a period of awakening. You've found space to think. You begin to see the games and the way she treated you. You renew a vow to never let that happen to you again and never do that to someone else. Maybe you love bigger.

There is no reason to excuse bad behavior. Abuse is abuse.
