one more thing

Have you ever thought, "I'll just fix this one thing" and it turned into a complete re-do? That's pretty much me with everything.
I wrote that line yesterday. I sat down to my computer to write a post and decided to change the name of my website. The original name was "Gloria - My Mom" as a method of grounding myself. What I realized is we all have a story that most people might never know. We build one block at a time and sometimes we tear the whole thing down and start over time after time. So, I changed the website to my name "Teresa Streit" because it's about me and what I will present on this page. I was consulting with ChatGPT on my changes and after the name change, Chat said,"Ok. Let's get to the writing."
Just one more thing. I'll just move the memorial of Mom to another section.
That became the pebble that caused the avalanche of a background change, color change, and resetting the title and description. By the time I finished, I had just enough time to write the first two sentences.
The avalanche rolled right over a scheduled working meeting. I appreciate the work meetings as much as the next person for communication, but right now, my work is caught up waiting for other people to do their part. Every update I give seems to be, "Waiting for ______."
I'm generally pleased with the updates to my website, although I plan to make a few more changes in the future. I also need to add a link to this page from my main website, which is teresastreit.com. Feel free to check it out. It's a straightforward landing page, but it offers some additional insight about me.

Even when the road winds and I take a ridiculous number of detours, if I keep moving forward, I eventually get where I intended to go.
