Pounds to Kilograms

I walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela with my friend, Sarah in May. It was life changing.
While I was doing some test walks, I changed my step tracker to kilometers to match the Wise Camino App on my phone.
After I got back, I began to implement my new perspective.
Don't worry about the miles or distance. Just keep going. Deal with what arises in the moment. No worries just work.
After a while, I decided to subscribe to Carbon Diet Coach for nutrition coaching. I tried it in 2021 and I didn't benefit from it. It's a good app. The problems lay in my perspective. I saw the value in the app for a small premium, so I have found my way back to it.
Since I don't want my sole focus to be on the number on the scale, I switched the units to kilograms. Do you see where I'm going? I removed the shame of what my weight was in the past by disconnecting the mental connection to my weight history. I have no stigma to my weight in kg from 5, 10, or 30 years ago. My son is 28 years old right now and I have a stigma of what my weight was just prior to his birth. I wish I could say I haven't gone through the thought process that I can never be my pre-pregnancy weight again, because I never had muscle mass pre-pregnancy. I like having muscle mass and I'm not interested in thigh gap.
I'm so glad I've shared the idea to change the units on the scale with different people. It's just a small change with monumental impact. I shared it with Dr. Jessica today and she asked if she could use it. Of course, I said yes. We were made for community and to share our ideas with others. I think so much of her and the idea of a thought from my brain being on her reference list is nothing short of mind blowing for me.
We talk every few months. She's helping me through my current phase. Today was an especially good talk. I hope that someone, including me, fills her soul like she does mine.
I secretly video myself on our calls and go back and listen to them, because I want to absorb and remember all of the important information.
One topic was regarding how I have overhauled my exercise plan. It has gone through a transition from 5 strength training days plus almost daily walks to now the following:
1 yoga class
2 strength training(upper/lower)
Several days of walking
Peloton occasionally for fun.
I was glad to hear her response today.
"Exercise should be different as we are in different phases of life. Right now, everybody is exhausted and they are killing themselves in the gym. If you just walk, you will get a better immune response."
Sleep - I'm going to track my sleep for the next few weeks against exercise(walk or gym?), how I woke up(to my alarm clock or early). I've also adjusted my macros to 100g protein, 100g fat, and about 50g carbs.
The biggest thing to remember is that what we do to get you healthy is not what you should be doing for the rest of your life. We are doing stuff to get your healthy and as we get there, as the buckets are filled back up, then we can tweak to where are the weak links that we will always need to support and where can we lay off some supplements, because the diet is fulfilling that need.
If we look back to earlier years, we mixed things up. We will eat differently depending on the time of year.
I'm excited for this current phase. I feel like the albatross rising.
