Musings or snapshots of a life

I always looked at life as a series of events, many of which felt disconnected and yet occurred in tandem. Do you go through life like it is a set of activities? Get an education. Find a spouse. Have a baby together. Watch spouse leave to be with twenty year “friend.” That’s no real friend. Find your way back to the true love of your life, while your teen son treats the dirt under his feet better than you. In something of a shocking revelation, I realized that it was all connected. Each moment of each day and each decision connected to the one prior. Happiness and peace has been my ultimate goal. If you parent a 17 year old son, you may know that your happiness and peace are the last things on his mind. It would seem that his very existence is in opposition to those things.

I can never stop trying or hoping for a brighter path for him. Everyone can be something. Life is like a ladder. We have to keep trying to get to the next rung. How does a person believe in themselves? What inner drive do some people possess that drives them to the next step?

When I read stories of people who have lived lives that seem so well put together, I think there must be a purpose for the chaos of my world.

The words you have read thus far have been mere musings of mine from past and present days.  I don’t think my path has been harder, worse or even better than the next person’s.  I’m just a regular person with a calling to help others.
