After Dad’s funeral in Texas, my brothers(Chad and Cary) Andy and I traveled together to Kentucky. We stopped in Memphis at Alfred’s for some BBQ. I like Memphis style BBQ, but I like a little spice to my sauce, but it was a good meal. I’d like to tell you about Meredith, our server. I can tell you a lot about Meredith, because she stood for what seemed like endless times at our table sharing with us. When we first entered the restaurant, Meredith approached us to get us a table. She came immediately far inside my bubble.
Here’s what I know about Meredith. I know that she is from St. Louis, and she left her kids and parents there because they bother her all of the time. I’m confused as to how they could bother her as I am sure she did that one more round of meth that permanently affected the firing of her synapses.
I know that she has a friend across the street that does airbrush tattoos. She ran over and got and Elvis tattoo with a little glitter while we were there(as if her cleavage needed anything to draw attention to it besides the shirt she was wearing).
I must admit that I have a natural hospitality that comes out when someone acts as she did, so I did encourage her to stay and talk, but that’s what she wanted to do. I think she liked Chad. Haha. That’s funny, because it was only by miracle that he didn’t tell her to go away. I always thought I didn’t have a filter. I now know I have a very good filter.
