Fire’s Life

Peter Kreeft said fire can't help but spread. The fire of God's love spreads through our life. We are to be God's tools. We don't direct our own paths no matter what all of the gurus say. God directs our paths. We are simply to be who we are. He will place us in the situations to grow us and help others move towards his love.

I am an over thinker. I over think over thinking. I've often wondered if there was a medication for that, but I've decided to accept myself for who I am. I have strengths and weaknesses just like everyone else. Darkness tries to take hold of my mind, but God meant me for good. My desires, my dreams, and my simple interests were given to me by God himself. I don't have to try to be anything. I am something.

Right now I am tired from walking this path alone. I have gained weight, because I was overthinking. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am not perfect. I like cookies and chips. I do best with moderation and strict routine. Sometimes I think I don't have friends to do anything with because I keep myself separate. That's probably true, but I believe God will direct the right people to me.

I'm going to start the eight week gym challenge. Can I make this my new lifestyle? It will be what works for me. My goals include being healthy in mind and body. If that is true, then consistently using the habits is what I need to do. Freedom comes from routine. I also believe there is safety in routine. I can eat anything I want as long as it fits in my plan. I can choose to eat a slice of pizza as long as I plan for it. My body, mind, and those around me are important enough to for me to take care of myself.

I have to love myself to spread the fire of God's love to others. That's why I am here. I have to support my body that is the system that I work with like a computer to be the person I am blessed to be.

Love God. Love people.
